Course Description:

Current legislation requires that any person using any ozone depleting substances for, or, in relation to any activity listed below must be accredited by Ozone Layer Protection Board of Victoria.

These activities include commissioning, manufacture, service, maintenance, installation and decommissioning of:

• Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
• Domestic refrigeration equipment or domestic air conditioning equipment

The training offered by the TAFE has been designed for persons wishing to install split air-conditioning to 18k capacity. Duration of this course is 40 hours. This is conducted in one of three ways: 1. Five days straight. 2. One night a week over ten weeks. 3. Over two weekends

Prerequisite:

Completed a Mechanical Services Plumbing Apprenticeship

Assessment:

To demonstrate that you are competent, you will need to complete all activities and tasks in the workbook that will be provided, answer oral questions as required and demonstrate as required
